[Tentacles]

I find it odd that you would have to have that conversation . I thought anyone and everyone knew tentacles had a much deeper meaning and sometimes branched into darker subjects than just porn (I am still at odds with the idea that porn is built upon dark thoughts). When I drew "Wonderland," porn was not my initial motivation and I don't think anyone that views it would have thought of that. Now would they think of Cthulhu reverence. I would hope they would understand the idea of transformation, (being the initial motivation) and how many seek such ideas through various means. A lot of root art is confused for tentacle references or imagery, I always found that interesting as well, how, "tree-roots," are placed in the same categories of "tentacle," art or sex deviances or sex worship. None of which can really be verified but is implied by critics to take away from the original conversation. Much like Dante's Arachne was deemed nothing more than a fetish of his demented mind and a not a revelation of a seeker. Minos was the King of Crete and images devised on his transformation have a tentacle origin and there is nothing pornographic about him, mind you I don't think I'd find him in any museums. One day maybe.
Can you imagine anyone having him hanging on there wall? What would you think of that person, that they like porn? lol.

I have to write that sexualization is not an evil. Bodily attraction is built into us at the genetic level. So there is nothing wrong with vulgar fantasies. If our ancestors did not have sex we would not have been ever exist. But we must understand that perversions/deviations are a dead-end branch. Tentacles have gained popularity in Japan since they are prohibited from drawing / showing penises. But our (European/Asian) young people just understood it wrong. So now we have rediculous situation that now Europeans/Asian artists draw too much tentacles in hentai. There is nothing embarrassing to get involved in different cultures, even if it's porn. It's a shame to be a weeaboo.

You have done magnificently. I love how you drew her feet. The hands are wonderful as well. The colors are perfect and considering how cold it is up here, it is something I really can agree with. I miss summer too.

BTW when and where did you learn to shade and shadow your art work. It is a feature that really brings out this piece.

You know this piece alone would cause so much trouble for those in my circles.
I was talking to someone about MeL the other day and they were upset because I defended him.
I suggested that he was not that bad of a guy and just had nervous break downs like everyone else.
They were upset because they wanted to believe MeL was MaL and filled with faux pas that the mere speaking of him causes some people to flip toilets and scream unverified claims.

No, thank you, for sharing your experience, my friend.
I agree with you, Mel isn't that bad of a guy, he did have some bad moments usually related to his drunken ramblings. But I don't think he meant it, maybe he was just blowing some steam or frustrations.
He's still a great actor, and he deserves to be defended for the roles he played(The Patriot, Braveheart, Lethal Weapon, Mad Max) and the movies he directed, Apocalypto is still a great movie.
Keep defending what you like and believe in, don't let others dictate what you should think.
And to be perfectly honest, things are getting worse with this PC way of thinking.
